At Creative Playrooms, we offer several programs designed to encourage all children to discover, grow, and explore while laying the foundation for a lifetime of learning.
Our primary focus is meeting each child’s individual needs and fostering their growth. Children are placed in a classroom that best meets their needs and encourages them to develop at their own pace. This establishes self-confidence and healthy growth, which results in a strong, positive self-image.
The Montessori method is based upon the observations and discoveries of the first female Italian physician, Dr. Maria Montessori. Her philosophy nurtures the joy of learning in children at an early age, providing a framework in which intellectual and social disciplines coexist. She believed that education is a lifelong process, and it should be an aid to life. Her philosophy was that children learn at their own pace and develop according to their own timetable. Their physical, emotional, psychic, and intellectual abilities are interrelated. Children must have freedom, within clearly defined limits, to develop their full potential.
Based on this philosophy, Creative Playrooms Montessori Program provides children with a prepared learning environment that helps them think, organize, and observe. The teacher functions as a guide, aiding children in their choice of developmentally appropriate learning materials. This environment, along with the teacher’s role, distinguishes the Montessori Programs from other educational approaches. Our program encourages self-directed learning where the child is free to explore and discover, allowing them to experience the joy of learning and promoting the development of self-esteem.
Discovery (6 weeks to 12 months)
We celebrate the uniqueness of every baby. To do so, we partner with you to understand your baby’s needs. We provided daily logs of feedings, changings, and updates to keep you informed on all the things—big and little—that are taking place every day for your precious little one.

Investigators (12 months to 24 months)
Your toddler is meant to explore, take apart, put together, and question practically everything. Children in our Investigators classrooms learn through developmentally appropriate play in an environment where they can thrive.

Pathfinders (4 years old to 5 years old)
Children in the Pathfinders Classroom will be asked to complete more concrete tasks to ensure they’re prepared for the next step in their education. Our goal is to ensure your child has mastered all the necessary skills to enter Kindergarten by providing individual planning, challenging your child, and considering their progress.

Voyagers (5 years old to 12 years old)
The Voyagers Classroom is designed to meet the unique needs of school-aged children. Most activities are child-led, which means students focus on their interests and move easily between activities. The children in this classroom get a balance of flexibility and structure—they have the time and space for schoolwork and fun with games, activities, and outside time.

Voyagers (5 years old to 12 years old)
Voyagers Summer Camp is all about exploring the world around us and learning about people, places, and things that many of us have only seen on TV or in books.
Voyagers (campers) have the flexibility to select from a variety of exciting topics that will take them on incredible journeys to far-off destinations where they will learn about people such as Louis Armstrong, places like the Great Wall of China, and things such as the Eiffel Tower!
Creative Playrooms’ Swimming program is designed to teach children swimming skills and water safety rules. Learning to swim can help children build self-confidence, self-esteem, and inner strength. It also provides the children with additional physical exercise time. The children have a combination of swimming lessons and free swim time. Each child age 3 and above (potty-trained) will have the opportunity to swim at least twice a week.
An instructor certified by the American Red Cross or an equivalent Water Safety Program shall supervise all swimming. Our pool was specifically designed and built for the use of young children. The pool graduates in depth, with a maximum depth of three feet.
Each child will move through the swim program at a different pace. It takes time to develop the coordination and endurance required for some strokes.
Creative Playrooms must have written permission on file from the parent or guardian of the child before the child will be permitted to participate in the swim program.
Soccer Shots introduces soccer exclusively to children ages 3 to 5. Using creative and imaginative games, weekly sessions focus on basic soccer skills like dribbling, passing, and shooting. Soccer Shots will expose your child to the fun of soccer and provide the foundation needed to get started in the sport. Stretch-n-Grow provides a comprehensive fitness program at an early, impressionable age. Stretch-n-Grow instructors are dedicated, talented people that have a positive impact on the health and fitness of preschool-aged children nationwide. All About Dance is a dance program that brings the dance studio to your child! They are a mobile-based dance company that travels to our centers once a week for dance instruction.
All About Dance offers a Preschool class that teaches ballet, tap, and jazz, as well as a Toddler Creative Movement Class. The program is designed to increase your child’s strength, balance, and flexibility while developing coordination skills and rhythmic awareness. The class includes music movement, sing-along-songs, and the use of props.

We have dress up days in conjunction with events, holidays and curriculum themes for the week. What fun! Some of the favorites are: western wear for Rodeo week, Wacky hair day, and Dress backward day.
Classroom parties add to the fun and excitement of childhood. Kids look forward to parties for holidays like Christmas, Valentine’s Day, Saint Patrick’s Day, and Halloween. We incorporate fun activities in conjunction with our curriculum. For example, during “Friendship Week” the kids learn about the importance of friendship and get to make friends with children from a neighboring LPL school. Then they get to enjoy a “friendship Lunch” together. Another example would be Teddy Bears. Children will study the history of the Teddy Bear and then bring in their bears for a “Teddy Bear Picnic.”
Young children are always interested in things they can do when they grow up or in the special talents of people in our community. Guest speakers give children exposure to new and interesting things and make their day special. Besides having special visitors, the children are sometimes the guest. They may visit the local Fire or Police Department, see behind the scene at a local grocery store or restaurant, or visit a nursing home for caroling.
